Russia has just said it will ban Facebook in 2018 if the social network fails to comply with local data storage laws. Alexander Zharov, head of communications regulator Roskomnadzor, was quoted by official state media outlets saying " the law is obligatory for all. In all cases we will make sure the law is complied with, or the company will stop working in the Russian Federation. There are no exceptions here." Russia's law on personal data storage came into effect in September 2015 and It requires companies that collect the personal data of citizens to store the information on Russian soil. Zharov said his agency has not been in contact with Facebook but added that the company needs to comply with the law soon. "In 2018, we will think about it, and maybe we will check," Zharov told state media that Roskomnadzor had received a letter from Twitter saying it would comply with the data storage law starting in 2018. President Donald Trump is facing a lot of criticism for his tweet criticising NFL players for kneeling during the recitation of the national anthem, and rapper Cardi B has weighed in on the controversy. In a tweet, Cardi B called Mr Trump out for being concerned about something as trivial as football players' stance during the national anthem when there was a more serious issue like Kim Jong-un threatening America. Cardi B referred to Trump as "Mofo" in the tweet and she called the North Korean President "Won Tung Soup". See her tweets below.

American football stars playing at Wembley stadium, London and at least 100 NFL stars in the US have defied President Donald Trump after he said sportsmen who 'disrespect America' by protesting during the national anthem should be fired by their teams. He was referring to a controversial string of protests started by player Colin Kaepernick to highlight the treatment of black Americans.       Former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, has said the recent military clampdown on the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its subsequent proscription are not the solutions to the Biafra agitation. According to him, so long as Nigerian youths remain unengaged in meaningful employment, they would be disposed to joining forces with individuals or groups leading agitations of all sorts. He blamed Biafra agitation on leadership failure over the years in the country but called for dialogue with those who are agitating in order to look at meaningful solutions that can give them hope. hina's official Xinhua News Agency says a magnitude-3.4 earthquake has been detected in North Korea . The earthquake occurred about 50km from a nuclear test site just as previous quakes have occurred during weapons' tests. Chinese seismologists said it was a "suspected explosion". But South Korea says that it could be a natural quake not caused by a nuclear test. North Korea carried out a massive nuclear test on September 3, 2017 which has been widely condemned at the UN. According to South Korea's meteorological agency, the latest quake was recorded at a depth of 0km in North Hamgyong province, home to the Punggye-ri nuclear site. It said it believed the quake was natural because the specific soundwaves generated by artificial earthquakes were not detected.

  A staff cleaning a Bangkok to Phitsanulok tour bus made the horrific discovery on September 20, while they were trying to extract sanitary towels and tissues from a waste pipe. They were shocked to see two little feet belonging to the fetus of a boy aged about four to five months. Police and medics were called to the garage of the Phitsanulok Yan Yon company and the baby was removed from the pipe. Investigators also found blood on the seats of C12 and D12 downstairs on the double decker vehicle. The seats were registered to the same name and police are now in the process of contacting that person to see if they are involved.

The Cross River State Police Command has arrested one Peter Bishung for allegedly defrauding over 30 people of more than N6million. It was gathered that Mr. Bishung, who posed as a medical doctor had been hanging around the Ministry of Health headquarters premises at the Michael Ani secretariat in Calabar where he may have gotten wind of information to swindle unsuspecting contractors of cash. He is said to have allegedly posed as a middle man for contracts especially for the 1.5 million dollars world bank health grant to revitalize the Primary Health care system in the state. Mr. Bishung is suspected to have defrauded about 32 people of over N6 million promising them that they will get contracts. He is said to have collected a minimum of NGN200,000 from each company profile collected. Wanted Nigerian billionaire businessman Kola Aluko, 48, is back in news after he put up a luxurious Manhattan penthouse - Apartment 79 in the One57 building, that he bought in 2014 for sale at $39.9million. This is 11 million dollars less than the $51.9million he originally purchased it for. The 6,240 square foot apartment is described as a four bed, four-and-a-half bathroom penthouse with stunning views of Central Park, the Hudson and East rivers, the Empire State building and the Statue of Liberty. According to reports, the seller is apparently anxious to get rid of the property - as it is listed by a 'motivated deller'. Rapper Cardi B says a New York CIty Police attacked her on Tuesday evening, put her in a chokehold, and slammed her against her car. Sources close to the rapper say the incident occurred around 6 P.M. near Columbus Circle. Cardi was riding in her new Bentley SUV with a cousin when another driver hit her. The Bodak Yellow rapper wasn't the one driving, but she and her cousin got out and started arguing with the driver who hit their Bentley and that's when the NYPD officer got involved. The officer, who Cardi says was white, grabbed her with his arms around her neck and pinned her against the Bentley. The cop eventually let go of Cardi and left the accident scene without taking a report or issuing any citations. Cardi B tweeted about the incident shortly after and blasted cops for not knowing "how to do they job F**K." Her boyfriend, Offset also confirmed that she was indeed attacked and she called him immediately after.
